Abstract:
Many researchers believed that Software Process Quality improvement will
certainly lead to Product Quality improvement but this certainty is not proved yet.
Quality improvement process remains incomplete if it is not initiated and conducted
through a wide improvement program that considers Process Quality improvement,
Product Quality improvement, and evolution of human resources. In addition, small
software organizations are not capable of bearing the cost of establishing software
process improvement programs.
In this Work, a new software quality improvement model, SQIMSO, is proposed
based on three major issues. First major issue is that every improvement program
should be wide enough to include the three main trends that are process quality, product
quality, and human resources evolution. The second major issue is that any process
quality model should answer the question "How to do " things. Third, any suggested
Quality Model should be applicable enough to be implemented by Small Software
Organizations saving cost and time without decreasing the quality turnover level. Based
on international quality standards, models, surveys, and on Local field survey the new
Software Quality Improvement Model SQIMSO is introduced.
