The Department of Computer Science and Mathematics is hosting a lecture titled: “In the Trenches: Building a Machine-Learning Random Forest Classifier” by Dr. Edmond Abrahamian, principal data scientist at AT&T in Palo Alto, CA.
The lecture will examine a fundamental type of machine-learning algorithm called Random Forest. It will cover the basic theory behind it, how it works and how forests are constructed. The lecture will also examine how to build a classifier using Python and scikit-learn, a Python machine-learning mode. |
