dc.description.abstract |
An energy conserving scheme for the shallow water equations including the bathymetry term is derived. Energy conservation implies the well-balanced property. The soundness of the approach is verified by numerical examples. Namely the lake at rest and a dam break problem are presented. The new scheme is compared with an established scheme. |
