dc.description.abstract	Many factors have played a role in the American-led war on Iraq. This thesis is intended to highlight the oil factor in the Third Gulf War. Shedding light on the importance ofthe mentioned factor does not mean disregard of the role of other major factors like the American wish to reshape the Middle East and realize global dominion. Both will be briefly tackled in this research. American quest for Iraqi oil will be analyzed through the presentation of various arguments attempting to prove the pivotal role of oil in American foreign policy towards the Middle East in general, and the Persian Gulf region in specific.	en_US
