This research is intended to shed the light on the available pricing techniques and illustrate the process of formulating a price strategy. The emphasis would be on the different pricing methods adopted by Lebanese manufacturers and the dominant factors affecting them.
A questionnaire was addressed to the industrial firms' managers or sales managers. This questionnaire included questions about the familiarity and suitability of different pricing methods, and the main factors affecting the pricing decision. The questionnaire was mostly filled through interviews. Results were summarized and analyzed at a later stage and presented at the ending chapters.
This research IS important because people face pricing decisions in all their dealings. Thus, a study on this subject, especially in manufacturing firms, is impol1anr because it will reveal the Current pricing methods adopted by them. The timing of this research is also important because as Lebanon is now regaining its economical role in the Middle-East region, it's vital for all Lebanese entities to reconsider their pricing strategies and be up to the standard in meeting competition. |
