| dc.description.abstract |
At present Jordan has no legislation for the control of the microbiological quality of ice cream. To investigate the bacteriological quality of ice cream in Amman the authors collected 1 sample from each of 37 places, ranging from first-class hotels to supermarkets and retail shops. 27 of the 37 samples failed internationally accepted standards for total counts and 32 failed standards for coliforms, including Escherichia coli.
