dc.description.abstract As we live in an era where Information Technology is becoming so central to the economy, culture and one's daily life, Information Systems began to take part strongly in the organizations. Information Systems have a very important role in business organizations. They improve the work processing at the operating level and provide managers with up-to-date information that lead to a more efficiently run organization. Therefore, Information Systems should have an important role in hospitals too. This research will try to evaluate and analyze the existing Computer Information Systems in Lebanese hospitals, to explain the advantages of using computers versus the manual processing of information, and then to determine the attitudes of the employees towards computers. This study found that computers are mainly used for administrative functions in the Lebanese hospitals. Few hospitals use their computer systems for medical purposes. On the other hand, the majority of the employees are found satisfied with the computer procedures they have. en_US
