Abstract:
Today's technologies have an economic and cultural impact on industries and businesses as well as on consumers. Tasks are being automated and data is being organized in standard formats. In other words, the evolution of information exchange techniques among consumers and businesses is changing the way software is designed and the way users think. Professionals and users worldwide are being exposed constantly to emerging technologies and up-to-date process management methods and tools. Certainly the impressive revolution in information technology has been showing in the world of order management and processing specifically at restaurants and food chains. A wireless point-of-sale food ordering system will be introduced in this paper together with the various technologies and tools that make it possible to implement such a system which proves to be fast, secure, cost effective and scalable in various environments.
