dc.description.abstract This paper uses the responses of twelve married couples to a series of interview questions. The goal of the interviews is to reveal the couples" use of verbal and nonverbal cues to communicate their likes and/or dislikes during an intimate encounter. Also, the study explores the married couples' ways to express affection, their attitude toward discussing sexual and nonsexual matters, and the changes in the relationship which develop as a consequence of communication. In addition, other issues of relevance are discussed. The interviewees are couples who have been married for less than ten years. en_US
