Abstract:
The newly elected president of the United States of America (USA) has initiated a series of policy initiatives with significant public health implications, both domestically and globally: withdrawing from the World Health Organization’s (WHO) membership (OPUSA, Citation2025a), withdrawing from the Paris Agreement (OPUSA, Citation2025b), freezing the work of USAID (OPUSA, Citation2025c), restrictions on the Department of Health and Human Services (DHSS), redefining the role of affirmative action and redefining gender (OPUSA, Citation2025d), and massive deportation of refugees and asylum seekers (OPUSA, Citation2025e)....
