Rami Al Khal Biography: He was born in Lebanon in 1953 to parents Rafic and Mary Cartinian. He has two brothers, Bassam and Abdallah. In 1977, after returning from Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, he enrolled at the American University of Beirut (AUB) and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in 1980. Following his graduation, he went back to Saudi Arabia, working in Riyadh, where he saved enough to acquire a controlling share (51%) of his father’s printing press in 1982. Rami rebranded the business as “Al Khal Printers / Rami Al Khal,” and under his leadership, it quickly became a prominent name in Beirut. Rami’s passion for innovation in printing led him to specialize in lithographs, creating limited edition art prints signed by renowned Lebanese artists such as Mohammed El Rawas, Halim Jurdak, Samir Sayegh, Hussein Madi, and Gretta Naufal. The printing press faced a significant setback when it was heavily damaged in the August 4th blast, leading to the cessation of operations.
