Organizational goals are increasingly centered on getting the best performance out of employees, therefore human resource satisfaction is becoming a growing priority for executives and managers. The main purpose of this paper is to investigate the impact of human resource satisfaction on job engagement and organizational citizenship behavior. Results from a sample of 150 individuals working in privately held organizations demonstrate that individuals who are more satisfied in their workplace are more engaged and more likely to portray positive organizational citizenship behavior. In addition, human resource satisfaction showed a constructive relationship with job engagement. Similarly, the hypothesis that human resource satisfaction acts as a predictor of organizational citizenship behavior was supported. This study's implications and future research prospects are discussed. |
