Abstract:
One of the major threats facing the Lebanese Armed Forces today and in the coming decade is their ability to defend their cyber systems and protect their big data from intruders’ attacks. Today, we are living in a digital and information age with an exponential growing cyber threat leading to the dominos falling of contemporary cyber defense systems (Andrew, 2018); and thus, new cyber defense models are certainly needed. Blockchain is a revolutionary information technology concept that is reforming how to deal with cyber security and big data protection. Blockchain is a trustless network that protects the system from insiders and outsiders; it carries encrypted data structures that makes any data violation exceptionally difficult and obvious. In this work, we propose blockchain as a solution to enhance the supply chain system and strengthen cyber defense at different levels in the Lebanese Army.
