Abstract:
LAU and BMW Group are organizing the kickoff meeting of the BMW Group Beirut Hackathon 2019, with the participation of NVIDIA Corporation, USA, Oracle Corporation, USA, and Alfa, Lebanon.
Every university is invited to participate with up to four teams of three students each, who will compete in a 24-hour programming marathon that BMW Group will define based on its use cases. The hackathon will be held on October 8 and 9, 2019, and its preliminary schedule and organization will be shared with you during the kickoff meeting.
This event is the main catalyzer behind a major initiative by BMW Group to engage with the universities and educational institutions in Lebanon, in order to establish scientific collaborations and provide top Lebanese engineering graduates with opportunities at internships, Master and Ph.D. scholarships, and job opportunities at the BMW Group headquarters in Munich.
We invite students and faculty to participate in the kickoff meeting in order to acquire all the information needed to prepare for this national competition. To attend the meeting, please register here.
