Abstract
As university instructors, professionals, and parents, we find the influence of technology not only ubiquitous, but almost uncompromisingly demanding. Furthermore, as professionals and pioneers of various disciplines, we believe that it is up to us to prod students to further utilize technology to better hone in on their research and their general knowledge, adding more to their experiential database. Having said this, there has been a growing corpus of research that seems to negate the rendered benefits of technology use in the world of academia, and more so in the classroom, at large and the LANGUAGE classroom, specifically.
