Marking the International Women’s Day, the Department of Communication Arts is hosting a panel discussion titled: “Women on the RISE”, in collaboration with the Arab Institute for Women (AiW) and invited speakers from Enya Lenya, the Agricultural Workers Union, The Lebanese Communist Party, and Kohl Journal.
The panel will focus on problems and opportunities around women’s representation in media. It will discuss how race and class impact coverage and how media could better represent domestic and agricultural workers as well as sexual and reproductive health and rights.
